Tourism and agriculture are the two most important industries supporting the 1000 Islands Region. Among the agricultural products important to the Thousand Islands Region are its grape and wine production. The wineries and vineyards of the 1000 Islands region have become tourism destinations in their own right. When touring the 1000 Islands Region be sure to ask for and sample local wines when dining at some of the finer restaurants of the region. Perhaps you should even try to visit to a local winery.
